See & Do

In Niagara Falls, we have a unique effect on people. Surrounded by spectacular natural scenery, world-class amenities and one of the great wonders of the world, visitors to our city often find themselves holding their breath.

We can’t blame anyone for wanting a more personal view of the Falls. It’s incredible in every way. And, thankfully, there are plenty of ways to get up close!

The legendary boat tour of Niagara Falls is Canada's most iconic visitor experience. Hornblower Niagara Cruises has taken this experience to a whole new level. With new boats, enhanced booking and check-in services, night-time and Sunset Cocktail cruises, Falls Illumination and Falls Firework Cruises, Hornblower Niagara Cruises is the ultimate must-do experience!

We can’t prove that time stands still when you step behind the thunderous water of the Falls, but it certainly seems like it. Your group will be mesmerized by Journey Behind the Falls the minute they take the elevator down 150-feet through bedrock to tunnels behind the Falls. From there, it gets even better as you stand in the mist and witness the natural spectacle of the Falls around you.

Once you’ve seen Niagara Falls in 4-D, you’ll never look at it the same way again. Niagara Parks has recreated the sights and sounds of the creation of the Falls using technology previously only used in satellites and medicine. This Universal Studios-style attraction unfolds in a 360-degree theatre that executes a multi-sensory experience. The temperature will drop, the floor will tremble and water will bubble and spray.

The Niagara IMAX Theatre offers an incredibly unique way to explore the Falls: through a six-storey high screen and state-of-the-art surround sound. Its movie – Legends and Daredevils – will transport you through time as you follow the 12,000-year history of the Falls. From the days when Native peoples worshipped the thunder spirits to the first Europeans who saw the great wonder to more modern day legends who have gone over the Falls and lived to tell about it. Watching this IMAX movie is an adventure in itself.

Looking for a Falls experience that’s once in a lifetime? Niagara Helicopter Tours takes visitors on a flight that combines adventure with awe-inspiring views. These six-seat helicopters fly over just about every major site Niagara has to offer. But the most captivating moment happens while hovering at Horseshoe Falls — rainbows appear and disappear from all directions.

There isn’t another place in the world where nature enthusiasts can take an easy hike through a pristine Carolinian Forest, past boulders left by glaciers thousands of of years ago. Leading to the Niagara Glen, this trek is – in one word – incredible. And once you’re there, the view only improves. It overlooks the Niagara River’s famous whirlpool.

If you’re feeling a little more daring, you’ll love jet boating. Whirlpool Jet Boats will take your group traversing along the breath-taking Niagara Great Gorge. In addition to the stunning rugged beauty our area is known for, you’ll get a unique view of Niagara’s manmade marvels: our hydro-electric stations. Once upstream of these power plants, you’ll enter Class 5 whitewater rapids and then take a thrilling spin in the whirlpool. Visitors can opt for a soaked to the skin Wet Jet experience or stay completely dry in a domed jet boat.

Offering an unprecedented view of this phenomenon is the Whirlpool Areo Car. In operation since 1916, this aerial cable car safely travels high above the whirlpool rapids on six sturdy cables.

Those in your group who want to keep their feet firmly planted on the ground will enjoy walking on a boardwalk at the very edge of one of the wildest stretches of whitewater. It’s the perfect viewpoint to marvel at the power and beauty of trillions of gallons of water forcing its way downstream.

No matter your age, you can’t help but feel like a kid again at Marineland. It’s easy to understand why it’s one of the most popular attractions in Niagara Falls. Here you’ll see dolphins and killer whales jump and perform tricks and you can feed and touch beluga whales. You’ll leave with a newfound love and appreciation of marine life and a lasting memory of your group’s trip to Niagara Falls.
